Elita uses a holistic approach to mental health and creates a personalized plan of care. Her practice model combines psychotherapy and medication management to help patients achieve more joy and fulfillment in their lives.

Her clinical work focuses on adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, insomnia, stress-related concerns, and major life transitions. Elita’s therapeutic approach draws from DBT-informed strategies, meaning-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and psychopharmacology, with an emphasis on an individualized assessment.

Prior to specializing in mental health, Elita worked as an inpatient nurse at Columbia University Medical Center, caring for pediatric patients in hematology and oncology, as well as children with complex medical needs. She completed her psychiatric mental health training at Hunter-Bellevue College in New York City and has since worked in private practice settings. She was also an adjunct clinical instructor at New York University.

Outside of her clinical work, Elita enjoys organic gardening, ceramics, painting, doing yoga, biking, and relaxing at home with her dog, Bijou.

La Lune Integrative Psychiatry is not contracted with government plans such as Medicare and Medicaid at this time. Please note that to comply with government regulations, we are not allowed to have a cash pay arrangement with patients who have Medicaid insurance plans.
