Masako Longwell PMHNP-BC
Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Masako is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes in caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Taking a holistic approach to mental health, she looks beyond symptoms to explore the underlying factors that influence emotional well-being, including physical health, lifestyle, relationships, and lived experiences.
She works collaboratively with each patient to create individualized treatment plans that may include therapy, medication management, mindfulness, and other evidence-based wellness interventions. Masako is dedicated to providing a compassionate, supportive environment where patients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to achieve balance, healing, and lasting mental wellness. Masako's treatment modalities aim to incorporate aspects of mindfulness, radical acceptance, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Influenced by her Japanese background, she integrates mindfulness-based principles that promote self-awareness, balance, and whole-person healing. She has experience working with a variety of diverse populations in many healthcare settings, and primarily works with adult patients for depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and adjustment disorders.
More recently, Masako also completed continuing education that focused on PTSD assessment and management through the National Center for PTSD.
In her free time, Masako enjoys hiking, exercising, traveling, and practicing her electric piano. She has 2 small dogs.
