James Demas, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC
Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Hello, I'm James Demas — a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner — and I'm honored to join the team at La Lune Integrative Psychiatric Group.
My practice is collaborative, compassionate, and whole-person centered. I specialize in integrative mental health using evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based therapy.
Together, we will focus on building practical skills for anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions — not just to feel better, but to live more fully in alignment with what matters most to you. When helpful, we may also discuss lifestyle strategies and medication options as part of a personalized plan.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University and completed a Post-Master's Certificate at the University of Cincinnati. My early career was in General Cardiology at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle and the VA in Martinez, CA, which deepened my appreciation for the vital connection between heart health, stress, and emotional well-being.
Since August 2026, I also serve as a Primary Care Provider at the VA Clinic in WA, where I continue to care for veterans and our local community.
At La Lune, I look forward to partnering with you with warmth, respect, and without judgment — creating a safe space to foster resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful change. I am currently welcoming new patients and I look forward to meeting you.
